BELOIT, Wis. — ABC Supply has pledged a multimillion-dollar commitment to two nonprofit organizations that are focused on changing lives every day:
• Make-A-Wish, which grants life-changing wishes for children diagnosed with critical illnesses.
• Homes For Our Troops, an organization that has built and donated over 295 specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans to enable them to rebuild their lives.
Through its support of these organizations, ABC Supply further champions and lives its core value of giving back, the company announced in a press release. The two corporate commitments were originally announced to nearly 2,000 associates in attendance at ABC’s national managers’ meeting earlier this year in Chicago.
“ABC Supply is honored to contribute to the missions of these two incredible organizations,” said Mike Jost, chief operating officer. “One of our Core Values is American Pride, which is why we are so passionate about the work Homes For Our Troops is doing. We’re also dedicated to making dreams come true, so we wanted to become a Make-A-Wish Champion Sponsor.”
At the manager’s meeting, Army Sgt. Mario Lopez, a veteran and recipient of a specially adapted custom home in Texas through Homes For Our Troops, sang the National Anthem. Also, a video was played sharing the experience of a young wish child in Florida whose wish of swimming with dolphins came true in early 2020, prior to COVID-19 impacts, with ABC Supply’s support.
These two corporate donations are made possible by the hard work and success of ABC Supply’s more than 15,000 associates across the country, ABC supply said.
