Barton Supply is the recipient of the 2019 City of Aurora Business Award.
Since 2005, the city of Aurora, Colorado has acknowledged businesses in the community that have contributed to the city’s economic vitality. Barton Supply, a 46-year-old company, was selected this year for its financial impact, and work in the community.
Barton started in 1973 with four family members. Over the years, they grew the business from $16 million to over $100 million in sales revenue. The foundation for success at Barton is treating their employees right and helping others. “If you don’t give back, you are not doing your duty to society,” says Scott Barton, VP of Business Development.
Employees have donated many hours and resources giving back to the community by building homes for Habitat for Humanity, donating funds and diapers to Builders for Babies, donating supplies to the Hope House, and donating food and money for veterans and adopt-a-family programs. President, Don Barton, believes that when you start with good employees, you can have success together.
Barton Supply is headquartered in Aurora, Colorado with over 200 employees with locations in Aurora, Colorado Springs, Commerce City, and Longmont. Barton Supply is a business of Kodiak Building Partners.
