Benjamin Obdyke names George Caruso as president

Benjamin Obdyke, a supplier of high-performance building envelope products, has promoted George Caruso to the role of President. Caruso served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer for the past five years, during which he oversaw growth in market share and the launch of several industry-changing and award-winning products, including HydroGap SA self-adhered drainable housewrap and VaporDry SA, one of the industry’s first self-adhered, vapor-permeable roofing membranes. He also played a key role in leading the company’s transition to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

“George has dedicated his entire career—23 years—to Benjamin Obdyke, and the impact he has had on the trajectory of our product development and on company, employee, and customer success cannot be overstated,” said Dave Campbell, Benjamin Obdyke CEO. “George was the perfect choice to take on the President role, where we know he will continue to drive innovation, inspire our team, and increase efficiencies to the benefit of internal and external stakeholders.”

As president, Caruso will oversee day-to-day operations, execute long-term strategies, direct resource allocation, and manage senior executives and department heads.
