Q: Any final tips for our readers as the 2014 deck season prepares to launch?

 A: Two words: Social media. If you’re not on it, get on it. According to a recent study by JD Power, 60% of marketers are using social media listening strategies. So how do you use social media? Isn’t it for schoolgirls and college students? Not exactly. In fact, 86% of NADRA’s Twitter followers are male, between the ages of 45 and 54. So use social media. Run contests to gain more fans, ask for feedback, promote your Customer Appreciation BBQs and product demos, highlight a builder of the month, talk about a new product you’re carrying, tag your vendors, post photos of projects your customers are building. Then, take it a step further and integrate your social media and email campaigns to reach even more prospective customers. These are just a few ways to engage with your audience this building season.
