Curtis Lumber is opening two new locations, the company announced via the Capitol Region Chamber of Commerce in Albany, New York.
The two locations, both Bellevue Builders Supply stores, are in Richmondville and Sidney, New York. Bellevue Builders Supply is in the process of consolidating the Richmondville store with its location in Schenectady. The Sidney location had closed in December, 2017.
The expansion brings Curtis Lumber to a total of 23 locations.
“These locations have served as lumber yard and home improvement stores in the past and will be updated to carry Curtis Lumber’s premium products, superior hardware assortment, and be staffed with the expertise to cater to both builders and homeowners,” the Capitol Region Chamber said.
Curtis Lumber has long served the areas with delivery service from nearby stores and the acquisition will increase delivery and product availability to the areas. “Working with builders and homeowners along the Interstate 88 corridor, we recognized the need for additional store locations to serve them,” said Jay Curtis, president and CEO. “Our superior product assortment, award-winning delivery service, and extensive employee training program will make these locations stand out in their respective communities.”
Combined, the locations will employ more than 15 people, the Capitol Region Chamber said.
