Drexel Building Supply will be expanding to New Berlin, Wisconsin, the company announced on its Facebook page. It will be the first new professional dealer building supply operation in the Milwaukee area in 50 years and looks to employ more than 50 full time people to serve the area builders and their clients.
Breaking ground in 2020 with plans to open in 2021, the facility will be Drexel’s seventh location throughout Wisconsin. The location plans to deliver to a 60 mile plus radius daily, the company announced.
The New Berlin location will be led by Team Leader Matt Kavetschanky.
“We strive to have fun every day, work very hard, and take care of our clients. We pride ourselves on our relationships and the happiness we supply to contractors and homeowners. We are actively involved in all the communities that we call ‘HOME’ and I am looking forward to getting to know the New Berlin community as we extend our roots there,” Kavetschanky said in the Facebook post.
Founded by Albert and Joan Fleischman in 1985, Drexel Building Supply is based in Cambellsport, Wisconsin, where it was formerly known as Campbellsport Building Supply. Drexel was awarded the Milwaukee Journal Top Work Place Award nine years in a row 2011-2019. Earlier this year, the company announced that it has converted to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company in which each Drexel team member is a part owner.
