Epicor honors LBM customers at annual user conference; new features introduced

Epicor Software Corporation, a global provider of industry-specific enterprise software to promote business growth, announced today the 2018 Epicor Customer Excellence Awards winners for lumber and building materials (LBM) customers. The awards recognize innovative LBM businesses that have successfully transformed operations by deploying Epicor BisTrack and Epicor LumberTrack solutions and services to achieve excellence in business efficiency and overall performance. New this year, individual winners of the LBM Excellence Awards will be honored with $1,000 to donate to their charity or organization of choice.

The following LBM companies have been named 2018 Epicor Customer Excellence Awards winners:

Hampton Lumber Sales
  • The winner in the Technology Innovator category is Epicor LumberTrack customer Hampton Lumber Sales, selected for leveraging the LumberTrack Sales & Pricing Application Programing Interface (API) to support their own browser-based user interface for sales entry. Hampton Lumber Sales will be making a donation to Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit organization that helps people around the world build or improve a place they can call home.

    The Deck Superstore
  • In the Rapid Time to Value category, Epicor BisTrack customer The Deck Superstore took home this award through its experience with a fast implementation and deployment. They will be donating to the Adams 14 Education Foundation, a 501(c) 3 corporation in Commerce City, Colo. aimed at improving literacy among students in Adams County School District 14 (Adams 14).

    Star Building Materials
  • Star Building Materials Calgary took home the Business Transformation award for leveraging the business intelligence tools built into the Epicor BisTrack solution to exponentially grow its business, despite a challenging local home-building economic climate. The company will be supporting the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps, a Canadian national youth program sponsored by the Canadian Armed Forces and the civilian Navy League of Canada.

New Features Introduced

Epicor also unveiled new features to its products at its annual user conference. New features for Epicor BisTrack include:

Expanding web functionality
Epicor BisTrack 6.0 adds a new web store application programming interface (API), web store responsive design, and easy web store credit card storage to allow LBM business to get more out of their eCommerce strategy. The API provides BisTrack customers the freedom to build their own specific web stores with any partner or tool, and have BisTrack software provide the products and prices, and accept the orders and payments.

Increasing mobility and warehouse management
BisTrack Delivery, a mobile proof-of-delivery application, has been expanded to cover more transactions and capture more information than ever before. A new mobile warehouse management module (Warehouse Management Foundations) has been added, which brings the key elements of a world-class warehouse management system in a straight-forward implementation that fits both small and large LBM businesses.

Customer stratification improvements
The latest version of the Epicor BisTrack application increases the flexibility of its existing customer stratification functionality to allow more granularity and automation. This helps BisTrack customers to make better decisions about how to align resources to the right customers, allowing growth without added investment.

Epicor LumberTrack 2019 new features include:

The new Forecasting Cube lets customers load, manage and compare multiple forecast quantity models, in near real-time, for up to four areas of your business. These include purchasing, consumption, production, and sales. It allows for simple maintenance of the forecasts, and the ability to forecast at any level of granularity, including location, species, grade, dryness, or length, among many other attributes, said to give a concise picture of your inventory.

Purchasing API now available

Also new in this latest version of LumberTrack software is a Purchasing API that allows customers to extend LumberTrack software to fit their business needs. This new feature complements the Sales and Pricing API released last year, and is part of the company’s commitment to provide open solutions to the market that lets customers explore new ways to grow their business.
