G Wood Pro expands Tantimber distribution through J. Gibson McIlvain Co.

NEW YORK — G Wood Pro, the exclusive U.S. partner of Tantimber, a global manufacturer of ThermoWood — Thermally Modified Timber (TMT) — is expanding its U.S. distribution partnerships by adding J. Gibson McIlvain, hardwood and lumber experts and architectural millwork service provider.

“We are very excited by what thermally modified wood means for the market,” said Caroline McIlvain, president of J. Gibson McIlvain. “Decking and siding materials are a large part of our business and we are always looking for the next innovation and next product to move the industry forward and decrease reliance on just a few products that dominate the market.”

J. Gibson McIlvain was founded more than 200 years ago and today has a global reach supplying large quantities of various exotic and domestic hardwoods, softwoods, marine plywood, and more. Also known for its custom woodworking capabilities, J. Gibson McIlvain’s architectural millwork facility can offer custom millwork services — interior trim, moldings and cabinetry, exterior siding, pergolas, and furniture — for any project.
