Langley, B.C. Canada — Hardwoods Distribution, Inc. (HDI) has completed the purchase of Pacific Mutual Door Company (PMD). This acquisition includes several brands and five distribution and manufacturing centers: PMD (Kansas City, Mo. and Albuquerque, N.M.), Warren Brothers Sash & Door (Nashville, Tenn.), Olathe Millwork (Kansas City, Mo.), Hardman Wholesale (Osborne, Kan.). These businesses will continue to operate under their brands as part of Rugby Architectural Building Products, a division of HDI.

Drew Dickinson, president of Rugby Architectural Building Products, announced, “The PMD acquisition will form the Rugby Midwest Region, and will be led by Rod Beason, recently the CFO for Pacific Mutual Door, and will now assume the role as Midwest Regional General Manager.
PMD is a wholesale distributor and fabricator of interior and exterior doors, custom millwork, and ancillary building products with approximately 350,000 square-feet of warehouse and manufacturing space. PMD sells to a diversified customer base that includes general contractors, builders, distributors, and professional dealers. PMD has been in operation for more than 100 years, servicing customers across eight states: Nebraska, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, New Mexico, Colorado, Alabama, and Kansas.
The addition of PMD is an extension of Hardwoods Distribution Inc.’s subsidiary, Rugby Architectural Building Products. Rugby is a nationwide distributor of architectural wood products, decorative surfaces, door and millwork with 36 facilities, 19 of which operate as dual distribution and light manufacturing.
