On February 4-6, the LBM Journal team worked the exhibit floor at the International Builders’ Show, which was part of Design & Construction Week in Las Vegas. Our goal: To discover products and services to help your builder, remodeler, architect and homeowner customers complete projects more efficiently and effectively. As in past years, watchwords at this year’s show were “energy efficiency” and “labor-saving.” While our team uncovered few true “game-changing” new products, the steady drumbeat of incremental improvements to proven product lines make clear that manufacturers are serious about delivering products to help fuel the rebounding housing market. Since space prevents us from including everything noteworthy from the 440,000-sq. ft. of exhibits, please consider this a snapshot of offerings from IBS 2014.
