A Pearland, Texas lumberyard was destroyed by fire overnight. The fire started around 11:45 p.m. at M&M Lumber Company, the Houston Chronicle reported.

Houston’s ABC 13 reports that the lumberyard is on the west side of Houston. The station reports that firefighters have indicated that a lack of fire hydrants has made it difficult to battle the blaze. ABC 13 shared the following video:
M&M Lumber had been in the community for 80 years, CW39 reports. Their report indicated that the business was a total loss.
According to M&M Lumber’s website, the company first opened in 1936, and in recent years had come under new ownership.
