Kodiak Building Partners has announced the name change of its company, Kansas City Truss, to Premier Building Supply of Kansas City.

Premier’s President Chris Borrego said, “We are committed to serving our local market, and changing our name is just the first step into building, growing, and sustaining our presence for the future in Kansas City.”

Premier Building Supply offers a dedicated and tenured team of local experts to service the needs of their builders and contractors, Kodiak said in the announcement.

“Chris has been working to build upon a strong local presence, allowing for Premier to be more responsive to customer needs that are unique to the Kansas City 12-county metro market,” said Steve Swinney, CEO of Kodiak Building Partners.

As the only truss component and design company in the area, Swinney said their “best in class” discipline and technical design expertise will compliment their growing focus on their traditional lumberyard business.

Borrego, who has 30 years experience in the industry, added that he looks forward to the company’s growth and lasting presence in the Kansas City market.

Premier Building Supply of Kansas City is not only a component plant that provides a full line of structural component products (roof & floor trusses and wall panels), but a lumberyard operation providing loose materials, full frame packages, windows, and millwork. Premier serves residential and commercial contractors, providing design and estimating services and distribution of building materials.

Kodiak Building Partners, through its 71 locations, serves general contractors, homebuilders, sub-contractors, remodelers, and consumers with operations in Texas, Florida, Colorado, Arizona, Delaware, Massachusetts, Michigan, Washington, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Maryland, Wyoming, and Nebraska.
