Kodiak Building Partners has announced the acquisition of Alpine Appliance Center as of Feb. 1, 2021. The acquisition marks Kodiak’s 27th transaction in its ten years of business.
Alpine Appliance Center is a Colorado home appliance supplier with locations in Avon and Basalt, Colorado, catering to homeowners, architects, and home builders in the Vail Valley and Roaring Fork Valley. With their in-house factory authorized technicians and installers, Alpine installs and services 30 brands.

Eric Boylan, president of Alpine Appliance Center, bought a small appliance company in 2001. Throughout the growth and re-branding of the company, Boylan worked every aspect of the business for long hours and seven days a week. As the company’s success grew, he was able to hire talented people with more than 200 years of combined experience in their field.
By joining the Kodiak Building Partners family of companies, Boylan said he looks forward to the extra layers of support that will be provided. “This acquisition will result in more opportunities for the growth of Alpine, which means more opportunities for my employees…my extended family.”
On April 1, Alpine changed its name to Specialty Appliance to take advantage of synergies between the two companies. Boylan will continue to lead Specialty Appliances’ Mountain division and report to Greg Ulvedal and Kirk Dryden, co-presidents of Specialty Appliance, another Kodiak company.
