Kodiak Building Partners acquires Arizona Wholesale Supply Company

Kodiak building partnersKodiak Building Partners has acquired Arizona Wholesale Supply Company (AWS), an appliance and flooring dealer that specializes in the support of residential contractors and their customers. AWS has three locations in Arizona: Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tucson.

“Arizona Wholesale Supply has been a strong regional company that has exciting potential into future years, particularly as it is paired with our Factory Builder Stores (FBS) operations that are being run by President Doug Rapier. Doug’s experience in the sale of his own company to Kodiak in 2014 should greatly assist the team at AWS as they move forward,” said Paul Hylbert, Chairman of Kodiak.

Kodiak Building Partners serves general contractors, homebuilders, sub-contractors, remodelers and consumers through its 45 locations in Texas, Colorado, Arizona, Delaware, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Maryland.

“We are looking forward to welcoming AWS, into the Kodiak family. The team at Factory Builder Stores is excited to work with the team at AWS,” said Steve Swinney, Kodiak’s CEO. “We feel we can leverage the best practices in place at FBS and combine that with AWS’s in-depth local market knowledge to create a significant multi-regional presence in the Kitchen and Bath, Cabinet and Appliance sector and now the Flooring sector as well. The AWS management team will remain in place and be led by Bill Parks, an executive with considerable experience at the helm of AWS.”
