Kodiak Building Partners, along with Ed Wright, president of Sun Mountain Custom Doors have announced Kodiak’s acquisition of Sun Mountain. Sun Mountain Custom Doors, established in 1998, manufactures its products at its Berthoud, Colorado facility and showcases them in their eight design centers in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, New Mexico, and Utah.
In early 2006, Wright joined Sun Mountain Custom Doors as CFO and was promoted to general manager of the firm in 2013. He and his senior management team achieved revenue growth in nine of the next 10 years, through expansion of the company’s direct distribution model, nationwide marketing, capacity expansion, and development of the company’s organization in all functional areas.

Sun Mountain creates high-end solid core wood doors that are custom made-to-order at their northern Colorado facility. Factory pre-finishing is a hallmark of the company, providing doors which are ready to install with no on-site painting.
