McCoy’s Building Supply announced the appointment of Joseph Martinez as store manager of its Hobbs, New Mexico location.
Martinez began his career with McCoy’s in 2012 on the sales floor in his hometown in Brownsville, Texas before joining McCoy’s Management Development Program. He served as assistant manager at McCoy’s Midland location for over two years during the height of the oil boom in the Permian Basin where he embraced the company’s vision for serving the “Born-To-Build” customer. Martinez also spent time as assistant manager in Weslaco, Texas before heading west to take the helm of the Hobbs store.
“I am really excited to be in Hobbs leading this great team,” he said in a press release. “We want everyone to feel at home when they walk through the front doors, and I’m really looking forward to getting to know our customers and building relationships that will last a long time. Our customers can expect a lot out of myself and the Hobbs crew.”
When asked about his favorite part of working at McCoy’s, Martinez doesn’t hesitate. “The best thing about working for McCoy’s is knowing this company really invests in its people,” he shared. “As a new store manager, I’m excited to help people and serve this community.”
