McCoy’s Building Supply recently poured the foundation for a new store in Spicewood, Texas. The project is scheduled to open in summer 2022.
The new Spicewood facility will serve builders, remodelers, do-it-yourselfers and the farm and ranch community. McCoy’s is a proud sponsor of Texas FFA, 4-H, and the Texas High School Rodeo Association and carries a selection of farm and ranch equipment.
“McCoy’s has been serving the Austin area since we opened our first store there in 1969,” shares Phil Hutchinson, an area real estate manager. “We believe in Austin and are excited for the continued growth and success of the Central Texas area.”
Construction is expected to take 30 weeks, with Embree Group of Georgetown, Texas serving as the general contractor on the project. The design of the store will reflect similar updated features of McCoy’s stores in Liberty Hill and Bay City, Texas, with a spacious interior retail area, a paved lumberyard, and a large drive-through lumber storage area.
McCoy’s is led by Brian McCoy, chairman and CEO, and Meagan McCoy Jones, president and COO, and is headquartered in San Marcos, Texas. McCoy’s employs over 2,900 people and operates 89 stores, three distribution facilities, and two millwork facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and New Mexico.
