MANSFIELD, Mass. — National Lumber has promoted Maykon “Mike” Oliveira to project executive of the company’s Turn-Key Framing department. Since joining National Lumber in November 2010, Oliveira has been with the Turn-Key Framing division, starting as project manager, then senior project manager. His duties have included assisting the vice president of Turn-Key Framing; managing complex projects, developing project managers and administrative support people. He also oversaw the implementation of new state-of-the-art software, Procore and PlanGrid, which increased efficiency.
Before coming to National Lumber, Oliveira was one of the owners of Bovere Builders, LLC in the Greater Boston area. During his 20-years experience in the construction industry he has had the opportunity to work with industry leaders across the New England states.
Oliveira’s hands-on experience as a builder informs his leadership in the Turn-Key Framing Division. He holds a 1C/2A hoisting license as well as being VSI Certified (Vinyl Siding Institute) and OSHA 30 Certified. In addition to his technical skills, Oliveira is fluent in Portuguese, which has helped him to collaborate well with Portuguese speaking construction workers and subcontractors throughout his career. For example, during a period where National Lumber took ownership of eleven unfinished houses because a builder went bankrupt, Oliveira took charge of completing the building project, enabling National Lumber to sell them fully completed.
Oliveira will report directly to Edward DeFanti, vice president of Turn-Key Framing.
