Northland Lumber & Supply Opens Design Center

Northland Lumber & Supply of Fairfax, Minnesota has opened a new design center in nearby Redwood Falls.

The Redwood Falls Gazette reports that owners Joe Vos and Jed Lutgen, a builder and contractor, respectively, partnered to open Northland Lumber and Supply in Fairfax in 2014. Just two years later, after requests for design work picked up in the area, the two decided that to better serve their customers, they could open a separate design center.

While the Fairfax location will continue to house the lumber and supply side of the business, the Redwood Falls location will focus exclusively on building plans and design.

“We decided to locate the design center in Redwood Falls because the need for it is extreme here,” Vos told the Gazette. “This is a growing community, and we think there will be the demand once people figure out what we can do for them.”

Northland Lumber & Supply announced the opening of their store on the company’s Facebook page.
