White Paper: Stop Wasting Your Employees’ Time! Automate Routine Tasks Using Modern Tech

Investing in new technology is a cost-effective and scalable way to get the most value from your staff and drive efficiency throughout your organization. By removing low-value or redundant tasks from your operation, you can get more done with the same workforce. Your staff will be able to focus on activities that help your business grow, rather than getting bogged down in busywork that wastes valuable time.

“We’re excited to see so many of our customers here in Las Vegas,” says Ron Beal, Orgill’s Chairman, President and CEO. “Our team and vendors have worked hard to put together a show that will deliver on our customers’ expectations.”

The Orgill Fall Dealer Market covers nearly 1 million square feet over two floors and offers opportunities for retailers to meet with vendors, tour concept stores, explore product showcases and learn more about Orgill’s many retail programs and services. They also have the opportunity to shop for thousands of products from across all home improvement categories.

“We have thousands of vendors here, and we’re excited about what they’ve brought to Las Vegas for our attendees,” says Jeff Curler, Orgill’s Senior Vice President of Purchasing. “They’ll be showcasing a range of products to meet our customers’ needs, and those products will come with great Market-only pricing. Our vendors are always ahead of industry trends, and they have plenty of strong merchandising and display ideas to share with our customers as well.”

The convention center offers an opportunity for attendees to shop across two levels. “We’ve put together a new concept for this Las Vegas venue to provide our customers with what they’re looking for, and to offer them more convenience as they shop the market floor,” says Phillip Walker, Senior Vice President of Merchandising Services.

The promotional areas, such as Door Busters, Coupons, Market Busters, New Items, Pallet Buys and more, are popular stops for attendees looking to find some great deals on products at Market-only pricing. All Canadian promotional areas are located on the lower level of the convention center, making it easy for Canadian retailers to find everything they need, all in one place.

At the center of the Market floor is the Orgill Services area, where attendees can learn about Orgill’s variety of programs and services and see how these might be best customized for their individual businesses. Retailers can visit this area to get more information about programs such as eCommerce, Brand Building, Smart Start, Hardware 101 and more.

The Orgill Services area also includes the Learning Center, which is home to a number of clinics and workshops. Some of the educational opportunities available at this Dealer Market include “Succession Planning—Creating a Path,” “Email Marketing Best Practices,” “The Value of the Local Brand in Today’s Market,” “The Five Numbers Every Retailer Should Know” and “Orgill Integrated eCommerce.”

Another popular feature of Orgill’s Dealer Markets are its concept stores, which showcase full-size retail stores that allow attendees to see real-life product selections and merchandising tactics.

Green River Hardware & Garden, which debuted at the Spring Dealer Market last February, makes its return in Las Vegas and offers plenty of space-saving techniques, showcasing how to fit the SKU count normally found in a 30,000-square-foot store into an 18,000-square-foot space. It highlights several core departments, including lawn and garden, hand and power tools, fasteners, paint and outdoor power equipment, all with a fall/winter product selection.

Cider Mill Home Centre is a 12,000-square-foot concept store that is new at this Market. It features a complete home center product selection of Canadian-compliant products. One of the main focuses of this store is customer service—it includes a featured power aisle that runs into a service counter, and a backroom designed specifically for special services, such as glass repair and key cutting. It also highlights the efficiency of a single-queue checkout system, which allows customers to see a variety of seasonal and promotional product displays as they walk through the checkout line.

Also popular at the Dealer Markets are the Product Showcases, which highlight the breadth of product in a particular category. At this Dealer Market, the Showcases focus on the 2019 Grill Booking Program; Impulse; worldwide sourcing; the LED Commercial ReLamp program; winter goods; the Canada Smart Start Program; Canadian plumbing and electrical assortments; and Spring is Here, which is Orgill’s solution for retailers who want to promote spring goods.

Orgill’s Spring Dealer Market will be Feb. 21-23, 2019, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
