Parksite Announces Acquisition of Lavelle Company

Batavia, Ill.— Parksite, Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of Lavelle Company, a North Dakota based building material wholesaler servicing retail lumber yards throughout North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota, and parts of Iowa since 1939. The acquisition is effective immediately.

“Our objective is to grow significantly faster than the market and acquisitions are an important piece of our growth strategy”, stated Ron Heitzman, President of Parksite. “The Lavelle Company has built a strong market position with quality products, great people and excellent customer service and we are excited to have them become part of the Parksite organization. The acquisition will expand both our geography and product portfolio,” added Heitzman.

Parksite Inc. markets branded and specialty building products throughout the eastern half of the United States representing DuPont Tyvek Weatherization Systems, Azek Building Products, and various other category leading building products for the residential, commercial and remodeling markets. DuPont Corian, DuPont Zodiaq, and Natural Stone (Granite) are some of the products available through the Parksite surfaces group.

In May, 2000, Parksite, Inc. purchased Plunkett-Webster, Inc. an east coast based wholesale distribution company specializing in building products, followed by the 2001 acquisition of Metro Sloan Distribution, Pittsford, NY. In May of 2005, Parksite acquired Eastern Distributors Inc, a Philadelphia based building materials distributor and in 2010 purchased the DuPont Surfaces business assets of L.E. Smith Company in Ohio. Through acquisition, the company dates back to 1915, and is at the forefront of the evolving building industry.
