HILLSBORO, Ore.— Parr Lumber has announced the merging of their two Spokane, Wash. locations. The original Parr Lumber location in Spokane was officially closed on June 7, 2017. In November 2016, Parr Lumber purchased Country Home Building Supply in Spokane which is now the home of their flagship store.
In order to accommodate the additional employees and inventory, the store underwent interior and exterior renovations. Exterior physical upgrades to the facility include exterior safety lights, additional racking, and the exterior paint was refreshed along with new signage. For the interior, additional contractor sales cubicles and office spaces were added to accommodate the growing team, as well as new floors and fresh paint.
Parr Lumber announced last November the acquisition of Country Homes Building Supply in Spokane, Wash. The single location of Country Homes Building Supply was established in 1947. Both Parr Lumber and Country Homes Building Supply are family-owned Northwest companies and combined have been serving their communities for more than 155 years.
Established in the Pacific Northwest in 1930 by Dwight Parr, Sr., The Parr Company remains a locally owned family business. Nancy Cranston, Michael Parr, and Brad Farmer, grandchildren of the founder, play active roles in The Parr Company. Headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, Parr is the 17th largest building material supplier in the nation. Parr operates 32 facilities, and cabinet design centers.
