PHILADELPHIA — Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company (PLM), the largest mutual insurer dedicated to wood-related businesses, is celebrating its 125th year in business in 2020. Established in Philadelphia, the birthplace of insurance, the company announced in a press release that it is commemorating its historic anniversary with a year of giving, featuring several campaigns and events designed to support the Greater Philadelphia community and beyond.
To mark the milestone, PLM has introduced a new streamlined website with a focus on its the company’s history and culture.
PLM has also kicked off its year of giving by providing employees with $125 each to donate to the charity of their choosing. More details on this and other charitable initiatives will be made available throughout the year, the company announced.
