DensElement™ from Georgia-Pacific
Georgia Pacific has introduced DensElement, a barrier system with AquaKOR™ Technology, a new water-resistant and air barrier (WRB-AB) system solution for exterior walls in commercial construction. The all-in-one sheathing integrates a (WRB-AB) directly into the gypsum sheathing panel’s core, which is said to eliminate an entire step in the typical weatherization process for commercial buildings. To seal the system, Georgia-Pacific collaborated with PROSOCO, Inc. An application of PROSOCO’s R-Guard® FastFlash® liquid flashing fills and seals all joints, fasteners and other penetrations to finish the system with no need to fully cover or coat the entire wall. www.DensElement.com
Adjustable Deck Tension Tie from MiTek®
The new Adjustable Deck Tension Tie (ATT-TZ) from MiTek transfers lateral loads from decks to a house structure. The product is said to effectively resist the lateral (horizontal) loads that pull a deck away from a house or structure. The ATT-TZ is engineered to bring users in compliance with 2015 International Residential Code R507.2.3(2) which requires the installation of a “holddown device” with a minimum allowable tension load of 750 lbs in four locations on the deck. Using appropriate fasteners, the ADTT-TZ is designed to be installed with the screw either adjacent or up to 4-3/8″ below deck joist, avoiding the need for blocking extensions. The ATTTZ is made of 14-gauge steel, with a G-185 galvanizing, the ADDT-TZ offers a two-hold break-out washer that works with multiple screw sizes. www.MiTek-us.com

CertainTeed’s Bufftech line of low-maintenance vinyl fence and accessories now includes expanded color options. New colors—Weathered Blend, Arctic Blend, Brazilian Blend and Sierra Blend—are designed to mimic stained wood. The privacy portion of the fence measures 56″ and the lattice portion 16″ for an overall height of 72″ or 6′. Fence is available in a 4′, 5′, or 6′ solid privacy barrier with a steel reinforced bottom.
