Simpson Strong-Tie

Simpson Strong-Tie Strong-Wall® Shearwall Selector Web App

Simpson Strong-Tie has launched a new version of the Strong-Wall Shearwall Selector web application created to help building designers choose shearwall solutions based on up-to-date building code and product information without having to download additional software. The app features two modes for producing engineered solutions that resist design shear: Optimized In-Plane Shear and Manual In-Plane Shear. The latest release now complies with the 2015 International Building Code. Based on user input data, the program performs a rigidity analysis to determine the actual distributed shear to each wall in settings involving multiple aligned walls.

Combi WR4

Combi-WR4 from Combilift

The Combi-WR4 is the first pedestrian reach stacker to combine multi-directional travel with innovative ergonomics and features such as a pantograph reach, side shift and tilting fork carriage. These features are designed to ensure safe operation while also offering space-saving handling and storage of both palletized and long loads in very narrow aisles. The Combi-WR4 was built to be the only pedestrian reach stacker that can work in an aisle-width of 84″ pallet to pallet. The Combi-WR4’s design, including a patented multi-position tiller arm, electronic power steering and fingertip controls make it easy and effortless to operate, reducing general manual strain, the company says. Push button controls on the tiller rotate the rear wheel parallel to the chassis to ease picking and placing loads in confined areas, allowing the operator to remain at the side of the unit rather than between the rear and the racking when placing and picking in the aisles, eliminating crush risk.

AdvanTech Subfloor Adhesive

AdvanTech® Subfloor Adhesive from Huber Engineered Woods

Huber Engineered Woods LLC, has introduced the AdvanTech Subfloor Adhesive, said to result in squeak-free subfloor assemblies. With a heavy-duty, polyurethane bond, the gun-applied foam settles into a high-strength gel adhesive to create a bond that the company says exceeds industry performance standards. Engineered to adhere to wet and frozen wood, it can be applied in temperatures ranging from 20 to 105 degrees. When combined with AdvanTech subfloor panels and deformed fasteners, the product is backed by a 10-year Squeak-Free guarantee for the panel-to-joist connection.

MFM SubSeal

MFM SubSeal

MFM’s SubSeal is designed for use around window openings, doors where high use and movement will occur, under door thresholds, and anywhere where high moisture content will be present, such as stucco or masonry. SubSeal is composed of a multi-layer, cross-laminated film that is coated with a rubberized asphalt adhesive system. The high strength, high elongation film is designed to accommodate expansion and contraction to waterproof critical areas where air and water can infiltrate the building envelope. SubSeal-40™ (40 mil) and SubSeal-60™ (60 mil) comply with AAMA 711-13 as specified in ICC-ES AC148 (ICC-ES ESR-2783) and ICC-ES AC38 (ICC-ES ESR-3980).
