Each month, hundreds of products hit the market. Here’s our pick of the ones to watch.
CertainTeed Single 7″ and 8″ Board & Batten Siding
CertainTeed’s new Single 7″ and 8″ Board and Batten vertical siding combines a traditional rough cedar look flat panel with .052″ thickness. The new siding comes in 10 new colors for a total of 22 color options. The darker shades are made with a capstock for longer-term weatherability. The Board & Batten 7″ profile features a flat face 5-1/2″ board that can be mixed and matched with any horizontal vinyl panel combination. The siding is designed to emulate real cedar boards, boasting an ability to withstand hurricane-force winds. Board & Batten panels claim to be virtually maintenance free and are covered by a lifetime-limited warranty.

Milwaukee Tool’s ONE-KEY Program
Milwaukee Tool’s ONE-Key features a cloud-based inventory management component, creating a central place for users to manage all of their tools and equipment across their network of jobs and operators. The free-to-use platform allows companies to keep detailed records about each tool, even non-Milwaukee brands. In October 2015, Tool Reporting will be added to the ONE-KEY platform with the launch of M18 FORCE LOGIC 6T Utility Crimpers. With the ability to wirelessly synchronize with the web-based program, the user will be able to upload data and history to create custom reports that track the success and timing of electrical terminations. The corner stone of the ONE-KEY platform, Tool Control, will be added in January 2016 with the introduction of new M18 FUEL Drilling and Driving products that will sync wirelessly to the ONE-KEY app.
