On a scale of 1-10, how difficult is it for your company to find qualified candidates for open positions?
As you’ll see, the ranking of the answers confirmed the reality of this problem, and effectively set the stage for the two remaining questions. It’s telling that zero of the 154 respondents reported that finding qualified was “Not Difficult at All.” Indeed, each step toward “Extremely Difficult” gained more momentum, with nearly 1/3 of respondents giving a ranking of 8, which is almost as bad as it gets. Even more telling, 65.6% (almost exactly 2/3) of respondents ranked this issue as either 8, 9, or 10.
