PITTSBURGH, Penn.— At a recent Board of Directors meeting, Clark S. Spitzer and John R. DiGnazio were nominated and unanimously elected to the positions of chief operating officer and vice president, respectively.
Spitzer will have the added corporate responsibilities of the corporate operating officer. He will oversee the North Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Colorado and Dallas sales and operating divisions.
DiGnazio’s responsibilities as general manager of the Snavely Forest Products Pittsburgh facility will remain intact. His attention to sales, customer support and product development are still key factors to the Division’s success.
“With their combined 70 years in the building material manufacturing, sales and distribution business, Clark and John bring a unique combination of hands-on skill, excellent communication and superior customer service/support skills; making them the perfect choices for these positions,” said Stephen V. Snavely, chairman and CEO of Snavely Forest Products.
Gaydos named HR director
Michael Gaydos has been named human resource director at Snavely Forest products. Gaydos has 20 years experience with his most recent position being director of human resources for LandOpt, a nationwide consulting and business development firm for the landscaping industry. Gaydos plans to use his experience in recruiting, training and coaching to increase employee engagement.

Georgelis named senior sales and marketing manager
Bill Georgelis has joined Snavely Forest products as senior sales and marketing manager. Georgelis spent the last 20 years in building material product manufacturing, wholesale distribution and retail.
“Bill’s proven track record of developing, implementing and executing our sales strategy in the Mid-Atlantic region makes our partnership especially rewarding” said Carl J. Lamb, Maryland general manager.
