The Versatility of Atlantis Rail’s Spectrum Cable Railing System

Atlantis Rail is known for enhancing the beauty of the exterior as well as interior of their customers’ homes or commercial properties. Their Spectrum System has long been one of their most popular cable railing systems with a variety of features and options to blend with any indoor or outdoor design.

The Spectrum Cable Railing System combines low profile post kits with cable railing infill. The posts are 1-1/2” square and are available in a surface or fascia mount option. The top rail is provided by the customer in a recommended minimum 2” x 4” hardwood. The cable infill utilizes HandiSwage™ fittings with 1/8” cable. This cable railing system is offered in standard color options of black, metallic silver, white and dark brown. Special order color options are also available.

After seeing the popularity of the wood top rail Spectrum System, Atlantis Rail introduced an extruded aluminum 1-5/8” x 3-1/2” top rail option. With this new addition, they can offer their customers the complete cable railing system. The top rail is available in standard lengths of 4’, 6’ and 8’ and features a small assortment of adaptive rail fittings. The simple design of the top rail system allows installers to handle a variety of rail transitions using a small set of components and common installation tools. The top rail and associated fittings are made of aluminum and powder-coated in the Spectrum colors.

To provide customers with more options when choosing the Spectrum System, Atlantis Rail offers ADA Handrail Mounting Brackets, Reinforcing Channels, Wide Mounting Plates and gates. The ADA Handrail Mounting Bracket features a clamp the fits onto the Spectrum post and allows for the attachment of a handrail. These supports accept a 1-1/2” stainless steel handrail which allows commercial clients to be ADA complaint. These clamps are also powder-coated to match the Spectrum post/rail color to maintain the overall look that the customer desires.

If a project has a handrail that needs additional structural support, Atlantis Rail offers a Reinforcing Channel. It fits over the Top Mounting Plate Assembly and screws can be mounted through the slots running the length of the channel and into the handrail. To maintain the look of the railing system, it is powder-coated to match the Spectrum posts. The Reinforcing Channel is available in 48” lengths and can be cut to size to fit any project.

For customers that would like a wider top rail, Atlantis Rail has developed the Wide Mounting Plate. This plate is twice the width of the standard mounting plate and is powder-coated to maintain the overall look of the Spectrum System.

To finish off the Spectrum offering, Atlantis Rail offers a gate kit. The Spectrum Gate is available for a 36″ or 42″ height Spectrum Cable Railing System. These gate kits come standard with pre-installed 1/8” or 5/32” cable and fittings. They are installer friendly and attach easily to stock Spectrum Hinge/Latch posts using the Spectrum Gate Mounting Hardware Kit (sold separately). This gate is available in the standard and special Spectrum colors.
