Timberline Enterprises acquires assets of North East Building Supply

Timberline Enterprises President and CEO Christopher Costello announced in late June the company has acquired the assets of North East Building Supply located in Hanson, MA.

“This transaction has been long contemplated and was successfully completed based on some very diligent work by our executive team with special recognition to the Minister of Finance Mark Butenas,” Costello said in an email announcement to employees.

The company previously acquired Braintree Lumber Company in early 2020.

The purchase “will be a geographically strategic advantage to us moving forward serving our Boston, South Shore and Rhode Island markets by allowing us to provide the scale of a large corporation coupled with the speed and flexibility of independent but cooperative branch management,” Costello said.

The Hanson location will become the company’s sixth in Massachusetts, which also serves Gloucester, Newburyport, Beverly, Billerica, and Braintree. Timberline has been in business since 1979 and offers a selection of building materials, roofing, decking, railing, windows and doors, and more.
