“THRIVE” is the theme of this year’s True Value 2020 Spring Reunion.
Thousands of home improvement retailers are preparing to gather in New Orleans’ Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on February 13-16 to discover new products, take advantage of deals, attend educational sessions, learn about marketing opportunities, and network with industry peers.
The four-day event is open to all independent hardware retailers, regardless of affiliation, the company announced. Also making a comeback is True Value’s Buy with Confidence Guarantee. It was first offered during an active tariff environment at 2019 Spring Reunion and the company is offering it again. True Value’s Buy with Confidence means the price retailers see is the price they’ll get— guaranteed.
More than 6,000 people, including 2,500 independent retailers and 3,000 vendors from around the world, will have access to over 450,000 square feet of show floor, discovering attendee-only deals, networking opportunities and on-the-floor training.
On Thursday, Feb. 13, the event begins with a kickoff reception followed by keynote speaker Taylor St. Germain of ITR Economics. His presentation, Planning with Optimism, will explore the near-term economy and the best course of action to prepare for business challenges and opportunities.
For those looking for business-building ideas, processes and techniques, the Retailer Best Practices Conference will be held throughout the day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13–15 on the show floor.
Other networking opportunities, deals & discounts on the show floor include:
- Assortment City: 35,000 ft. shopping area with over 500 product assortments by department
- Bargain Burner: Discounts up to 60% on over 100 items at this one-day-only event
- Closeout Corner: Deep discounts up to 85% on overstock
- Discount City: Big discounts on over 1,000 bulk and pallet items from vendors in every department
- Pro Yard: 300 feet of custom pro-focused lumberyard assortments set on 5-foot fixtures
After a full day on the show floor, Reunion attendees are invited to the company’s General Session Friday afternoon. A multimedia presentation, led by members of True Value’s senior leadership team, will showcase how the company is thinking differently, taking action and continuously innovating to enable their customers to thrive in a rapidly changing retail environment, the company says.
Immediately following the General Session, Reunion attendees are invited to a live concert performed by Steve Miller Band.
