U.S. LUMBER to acquire NILCO

ATLANTA and HARTVILLE, Ohio — U.S. LUMBER and NILCO have signed an agreement under which U.S. LUMBER will acquire NILCO. The combination will create a company with a broader geographic presence and an expanded product mix. U.S. LUMBER, based in Atlanta, is a two-step distributor of specialty building products in the Eastern U.S., while NILCO, headquartered in Hartville, Ohio, is a two-step distributor of building and industrial products in the Midwestern and Northeastern U.S..

U.S. LUMBER President and CEO Jeff McLendon said, “We are thrilled to be adding NILCO to U.S. LUMBER. Upon completion of the acquisition, NILCO will operate under its existing brand name as a division of U.S. LUMBER and will continue to be led by Jim Smith. Jeff McLendon will serve as President and CEO of the combined U.S. LUMBER.
