VERSATEX Welcomes NEW Vice President and CFO Evan Kaffenes

New officer will take charge of the accounting and treasury functions

PITTSBURGH — VERSATEX Building Products, LLC, announced today the appointment of Evan M. Kaffenes, as Vice President and CFO. In the newly created position, Mr. Kaffenes will manage the company’s accounting and treasury functions as well as its human resources and information technology activities.

According to VERSATEX President and CEO, John Pace, Mr. Kaffenes joins VERSATEX after two years of successful service with Werner Co., in Greenville, Pa. As Werner’s global finance director, Mr. Kaffenes concentrated on operations in the United Kingdom, the Asia-Pacific region and Australia. Werner is a global leader in the manufacture of ladders and climbing products.

“Evan brings with him a strong building-products background,” Mr. Pace said today. “Earlier in his career, he distinguished himself as Vice President and CFO of Thermal Industries, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based manufacturer of vinyl replacement windows, room enclosures and vinyl decking and railing products.

“Evan grew up in Aliquippa, Pa., where VERSATEX has its headquarters, and he sees the move as an opportunity not only to work with a very innovative and dynamic company, but also as a chance to return to his roots,” Mr. Pace said. “We’re looking forward to a long, productive relationship.”

Mr. Kaffenes is a graduate of University of Pittsburgh, where he earned his MBA in General Management and Human Resources. He is a resident of Brighton Township.
