Officials with the Western Building Materials Association announced in early December the organization has appointed a new president.
“We are happy to introduce WBMA’s 2024 President, Rick Lierz, Franklin Building Supply in Boise, Idaho. Rick Lierz grew up around the lumber business. His father worked for Boise Cascade before starting Franklin Building Supply over 40 years ago.”
Franklin Building Supply is a diverse company in the industry with 16 locations throughout Idaho that include truss plants, door shops, design centers and an installed sales division.
The company currently has about 600 employees and is 100 percent employee-owned through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). In 2017, Rick served as Chairman of the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association and has been a long-time supporter of WBMA.
