Production ceased NyloBoard in Covington, Georgia earlier this week, and the company is now for sale the Covington News has reported.
Company president and CEO Doug Morse told the newspaper in a prepared statement that the company’s “venture capital owner has decided to no longer fund the business. The business, including all assets is for sale…”
NyloBoard was started in the early 2000s. Founders of the company worked with Georgia Tech chemical engineers and developed recycled carpet fibers into composite materials as an alternative to plywood and deck and porch boards that contain no wood or PVC.
